Frances Kathleen “Katie” Chaffin

Frances Kathleen “Katie” Chaffin, daughter of George T. Gann and Allie Ann Day Gann, passed away March 30, 2017 at the age of 93.

She was married to James Willard Chaffin on August 20, 1944.

She lived most of her life around Rogersville, MO. She was a loving wife, mother, homemaker and farmer. She moved to Marshfield, MO to be near her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, Rogersville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Chaffin; her parents;  two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include Jack and Judy Johns, Frank and Connie Chaffin, Jim and Nikki Chaffin, and Danny and Janene Chaffin, all of Marshfield, MO. She had eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Willard and Zelma Gann, Springfield, MO; three sisters, Wilma Umphries of CA, Nancy Cuaves of MS; and Betty Rice, Springfield, MO; a special friend Patsy Vestal; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at Fraker Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, with interment following in Marshfield Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Marshfield Senior Center.
