About Us

Fraker Family Owned since 1972.

Gary and Jackie Fraker established Fraker Funeral Home in 1972. In 1991 they built the funeral home at its current location at 1131 State Highway A in Marshfield. Their oldest son, Dale, joined the family business in 1991 and is currently the owner along with his wife Marta (Case) Fraker. Gary and Jackie both passed away in 2022.

Gary Fraker was born and raised in Webster County, son of Roy and Helen. Gary spent time at the family farm, but had aspirations of serving his community in a different way than his parents, grandparents and family. He and his new bride headed to Louisville, Kentucky, where Gary was enrolled in the Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. After graduation, Gary and Jackie moved to Lebanon, MO in order for Gary to complete his apprenticeship to become a fully licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director. In 1971, they welcomed their son, Dale, who along with his wife, Marta, own and operate Fraker Funeral Home. In 1974, their youngest son, Garrett, was born.

In 1973, with the support of his parents, Roy and Helen Fraker, Gary and Jackie Fraker established the first Fraker Funeral Home in Marshfield, formerly located on Jefferson Avenue in Marshfield. Originally, the funeral home was staffed by Gary, Jackie, Ben Fraker, Jim Marlin (cousin), Joe Haggart, Eunice Jameson, and Clara Young. In 1991, the funeral home relocated to a new facility and continues to operate from that location today.

Both Gary and Jackie passed away in 2022 and now Dale and his wife Marta have taken up the traditions and continue to serve the Webster County area as the only area funeral home staffed with two fully licensed funeral directors, an embalmer, Wess Diehl, and a wonderful staff who help make the funeral home an extension of family.

Our Family has over 100 years combined in funeral services.
