James Lee "Jamie" Asher

James Lee Asher “Jamie,” got up and walked into Heaven’s gates on November 20 at 3:45 AM. He spent his final days surrounded by his loved ones as they told stories about their time with him.

He was greeted in Heaven by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Jamie’s parents, Jerry and Fay Asher, his maternal grandparents William and Pearl Price, his paternal grandparents, Elmer and Pearl Asher and his niece and her husband Tab & Scott Melton.

Jamie loved to spend his time in the woods hunting. He enjoyed opening morning of deer season, but most of all he loved to turkey hunt. Especially with his friends and family. He was passionate about passing along the traditions of the outdoors to the younger generations. He spent his life working in several different professions, such as farming, welding and working on cars until finally settling into his calling as a Carpenter. He took tremendous pride in his work. However, his biggest joy in life was being with and helping his friends & family.

He was survived by his son Corey Asher, his daughter-in-law, Jordan Asher, and in his own words “My sweet grand babies,” Payton and Carsyn Asher, his Sissy Reenea Yarbrough and her husband, Greg. Two brothers, Gene Evans and Jamie’s twin brother Jeremey Asher. A special nephew Wade Asher. Along with several other very special nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and the whole Bunch.

Jamie left a note for his family that read “I will miss you all and I was blessed with the best family ever and I will be waiting on you when your time comes.”

 Romans 10:9

“That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
