John Paul Bearden

 
 

John Paul Bearden of Marshfield was born July 3, 1976, to Larry and Linda (Hamilton) Bearden in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life June 16, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by family at the age of 49 years.

John Paul married his high school sweetheart Nora in 1997 and together they had two sons JJ and Shawn. JP worked thirty years at Associated Wholesale Grocers. When he wasn’t working, he devoted his time to his family and friends. A lot of times when JP got home from work, he would tell Nora and the boys to pack a bag, and they would take off to Branson for the weekend.

He enjoyed fishing, especially pond fishing. He loved playing pool every Friday and Saturday night. JP would often play cards and loved a good game of Canasta with his family. He loved going to the Cardinal games and going bowling. JP was into collecting guns and online auctions. He always had a good time riding around with Keith and Jess.

He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Bearden; his sister, Larinda Bearden; his father-in-law, Herschell Lairmore; and his grandfather, Paul Hamilton.

He is survived by his wife, Nora (Lairmore) Bearden of the home; his sons, John Michael “JJ” Bearden, and his girlfriend, Morgandy Mahoney of Marshfield, Shawn Bearden and his girlfriend Allison Conrad of Marshfield; his mother, Linda Bearden of Marshfield; his siblings, Angie Hunt and Steve of Marshfield, Chris Bearden of Frontenac, Kansas, David Bearden and Emily of Marshfield; his grandmother, Jeannene Hamilton of Marshfield; his mother-in-law, Rosie Lairmore of Marshfield; his brothers-in-law, Herschell Lairmore of Lohman, Charles Lairmore and Brenda of Marshfield; his sister-in-law, Dee Poynter of Miami, Oklahoma; his adopted grandchildren, River and Harley; his other son, Lane Morgan; many aunts, uncles, and other relatives and friends; his special friends, Keith and Betty Hoskins, Jim and Nina Schafer, Keith and Jessica Hulen.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 22, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.

Visitation will be before services Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Interment will follow services Monday in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
