Linda Jewel Griffis

            Linda Jewel Griffis, of Seymour, MO, was born on November 26, 1939, to William and Etna (Sissel) Cooper. She departed this life on September 12, 2026, in her home at the age of 86.

            Linda had worked as a truck driver and later for the Greene County Road Department. She enjoyed gardening and collecting jewelry and boots. Linda loved spending time with family and friends and sharing a cup of coffee.  Linda was baptized at a young age and was of the Baptist faith.

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Griffis; her parents; her daughter, Kassandra Bozarth; daughter-in-law, Catlina Anderson; her siblings, Harry Cooper, Donald Cooper, Carl Cooper, Wilma Caldwell, Patricia Simpson, an infant sister; and her dog Alvin.

            Linda is survived by her son, Barry Anderson of Seymour; her daughter, Katrina Merriett of Seymour; fourteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a special niece, Cindy Ramsey of Jackson, OH; and her dog, Tia.

            Graveside services for Linda Griffis will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in Liberty Cemetery, Seymour, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
