Johnny Hannah

Johnny L. Hannah, son of Troy and Marilyn (Turner) Hannah, was born May 31, 1957 in Seymour, MO. He passed away at 12:02 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2025 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, at the age of 68.

Johnny worked for many years at the Seymour Steel Plant, Fisher Feed, MFA and was a meat cutter. Recently he was an Amish hauler. He grew up and learned his faith at Old Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Karen Buttram; one great-grandchild, Ryder Cantrell and his in-laws, Rev Ira and Mary Jane Bennett.

Survivors include his wife Ruthie, Hartville; three children, Sandra Crain (Merle), Pittsburg, Melissa Crosby (Aaron), Powersite, and Michael Hannah, Pittsburg; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Steve Hannah, Mansfield; two sisters, Tammi Minear, Seymour and Toni Peterka, Seymour; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 5, 2026 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Liberty Cemetery, Seymour.

Visitation will be from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
