Emma Arabelle Henderson
Emma Arabelle Henderson was born December 30, 1938, in Lebanon, Ohio, and died May 6, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri, after a battle with cancer. She was 86 years old.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and servant of her Lord, she lived as a missionary to Africa, as a librarian, and as a friend to many, loving on her large family throughout her life. She earned a Bachelor of Arts at University of Missouri-Rolla, and her Masters Degree at University of Missouri-Columbia.
Emma was a talented artist, producing many beautiful paintings and murals, including a mural on the wall of a church in Zimbabwe, Africa, that remains to this day. She also taught art in schools and community centers in both continents. She was greatly loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by her son Barry Stoll of Columbia, Missouri and daughter Jane Cosgrove of Nixa, Missouri, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her son, Tim Stoll, of Strafford, Missouri.
Emma's celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
Visitation will be before services Saturday at 1:00 p.m., in the funeral home.
"Farewell, my dear friend, a thousand thanks to thee, and ten thousand to God for thee. I shall see your face no more in this world, but in heaven. "
