Teddy Richard Jaco, Conway, was born August 29, 1938 in Butler, MO to Arthur and Cora (Purdom) Jaco. He departed this life on December 9, 2023 in his home at the age of 85.

Teddy was a music lover. He enjoyed karaoke and had played in a band on Mansfield Highway, Mansfield, TX. Teddy adored his family, especially his grandbabies. Whoever the newest one was got the most attention. Teddy was good at building and rebuilding things and had owned and operated his own carpentry and roofing business. He liked to tinker. Teddy loved attending Osage Baptist Church and listening to Bro. Jim Jones’s messages. Teddy had served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Janetta Jaco; four children, David Jaco, Richard Jaco, Johnny Jaco, Penny Simpson; and eleven siblings.

Teddy is survived by five children, Ellen Oxley, Poplar Bluff, Becky Jaco, Poplar Bluff, Vicki Sharp, Springfield, Teddy Jaco, Conroy, TX, Kim Ziegler and Robyn, Conway; his sister, Julia “Lolly” Pennington, Poplar Bluff; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 in Poplar Bluff Cemetery.
