James Harold Beckner, Marshfield, MO, was born April 20, 1930, in Marshfield, to Claude and Aarena (Woods) Beckner, and departed this life on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield.

James loved antique tractors and rebuiling them. He lived on the family farm his entire life. He was a member of Ozark Steam Engine Association, Early Day Gas Engine Association, and AOPA Aircraft Owners Pilot Association. James was a deacon and member of Faith Southern Baptist Church.

James was united in marriage to Phyllis Day on July 25, 1950. They were married for thirty-nine years, and together had five children, Susan Kraft and Tom, Competition, MO, J.C. Beckner and Diane, Raymore, MO, Deanne and Marty Stroope, Grand Prairie, TX, Ken and Brenda Beckner, Concordia, KS, and Jaon and Kathy Beckner, Marshfield, MO. On July 19, 1991, James married Anita Rear, and they were married for twenty-six years, giving James  five stepchildren, Janice Rear, Kansas City, MO,  Junior Rear and Lisa, Marshfield, MO, Steven Rear, Marshfield, MO, Tim and Marcia Rear, Springfield, MO, Joyce Ince and Tim, Fordland, MO. He is also survived by three sisters, Lucille Blinn, Marshfield, MO, Ann Betteridge, Pilot Grove, MO, and Sue Hightower, Tulsa, OK; one brother and his wife, Danny and ZoAnn Beckner, Springfield, MO; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Claude and Aarena Beckner; his first wife, Mary Phyllis Beckner; and one great-grandson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Faith Southern Baptist Church, Marshfield, MO, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow at Mission Home Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, October 21 from 9:00- 10:00 a.m. at Faith Southern Baptist.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Lottie Moon Missions, P.O. Box 653, Marshfield, MO.
