Mary Marie Burks
Mary Marie Burks, daughter of Louie and Marie (Bowers) Mathis, was born October 22, 1929, in Northview, MO and departed this life February 16, 2019 at Mercy hospital. At the time of passing, she was 89 years, 3 months, and 25 days old.
Mary was united in marriage to Reamon George Burks. They had 3 children: Sandy, Rita, and Lloyd. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Reamon, her 2 children Rita Ragsdale and Lloyd Burks, her sisters Ruby, Lena, and 2 brothers Alfred and Virgil. She is survived by her son, Sandy Burks, his wife Kay, Marshfield, son-in-law Leo Ragsdale, Marshfield, sister-in-law Barbara Mathis, grandchildren, Charley Ragsdale wife Tracy, Iowa, Katy Mathis husband Nick, Marshfield, Crissy Bagley husband Matt, Marshfield, Jeff Ragsdale wife Sharon, Marshfield, Jonathan Burks wife Crystal, Marshfield, Jason Burks and wife Tracy, Republic, Vanessa Ragsdale, Marshfield, Brent Copes, Lebanon, Kimberly Ragsdale and Donald Cottrell, Marshfield and 15 great grandkids.
She was a dedicated Christian and charter member of Northview First Baptist church, where she served as church clerk for 49 years. She loved her Lord and going to church was one of her favorite things. She could not have loved her family more and was so proud of each and everyone of them.
Mary was a wonderful mother, grandma/granny, and great grandma/granny. Her family knew they were loved and always enjoyed being with her. We will cherish our memories of her forever. We will miss her always.
Funeral services for Mary Burks will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, February 20, 2019, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, 1113 State Hwy A, Marshfield, MO. Burial will follow in the Welch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 PM Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
