Claudia Kay Matteson

Claudia Kay Matteson, daughter of Claude and Ula Mae (Burchfield) Lewis, was born April 15, 1948, in Springfield, MO. She passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2026, at her home in Lebanon at the age of 77.

Claudia was a 1966 graduate of Marshfield High School. She was a retired x-ray technician and a passionate breeder of show Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and Miniature Dachshunds. She loved fishing trips with her family and delighted in showing her family how to catch the biggest catfish of the trip. She also enjoyed BINGO and card nights with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Lewis.

Survivors include her husband, James; one daughter, Kara Landon and her husband Kim, Lebanon; two grandchildren, Kassidy Tabor and her husband Lucas, Lebanon and Kurt Landon and his wife Evoni, Lebanon; and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February, 7, 2026, in the Marshfield Cemetery pavilion under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.

The family requests memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO 65706.
