Lois Yvonne (Creson) McCallister

 
 

Lois Yvonne (Creson) McCallister, Phillipsburg, was born January 9, 1943 in Mountain Grove, MO, to Edgar and Opal (Townlain) Woodruff. She departed this life on February 21, 2024 at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, MO, at the age of 81.

Lois loved square dancing and was a member of the Happy Hoedowners Square Dance Club. She was a tee-ball and little league baseball coach. She enjoyed fishing and looked forward to sucker grabbing every March 15. Lois was musically inclined. She loved to sing at nursing homes, and to play guitar at music jams. She raised dogs and had worked at an electrical manufacturer on motor assembly. Lois was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, George Creson, who preceded her in death in 2013; two sisters, Pauline Wilson and Charline Woodruff; and four brothers, Martin Parmenter, Alfred Woodruff, Henry Woodruff, and Lawrence Woodruff.

Lois is survived by her husband of 7 years, David McCallister; two sons, George Ellis Creson and Angie, Elkland, and Dennis Eugene Creson, Sr., Rogersville; three stepchildren, Laura Kaczor and Greg, Spokane, WA, Davita Helmick and  Matthew, Niangua, and Kelly McCallister, Carl Junction; three sisters, Roberta Oxendrider, Wheatland, Judy Smith and Ted, Rogersville, and Wanda Deckard, Springfield; nine grandchildren, Denise Deckard, Amber Tetrick, George Ellis Creson, Jr., Zac Creson, David Creson, Katlynn Hosfield, Dustin Creson, D.J. Creson, and Matthew Creson; nine step-grandchildren, Sydney, Zandra, Natalie, Jordan, Kaylee, Riley, Raymond, Matthew Jr., and Natasha; twelve great-grandchildren, Layton Creson, Aurora Tetrick, Jade Tetrick, Raelyn Tetrick, Carter Creson, Olivia Hosfield, Wyatt Hosfield, William Deckard, Kassandra Deckard, Sebastian Creson, Weston Wommack and Sophie Creson; one step great-grandchild, Khalil.

Funeral services for Lois McCallister will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., 1131 State Hwy. A, Marshfield. Interment will follow in Cardwell Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be before services from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
