Robert "Bob" McDaniel

Robert “Bob” McDaniel, born July 23, 1944, in Houston, TX, passed away November 30, 2025 wrapped in the loving arms of his wife, Lynn Shubel McDaniel and surrounded by beloved family members.

Robert is survived by his daughter Jennifer McDaniel of Royse City, TX, son Kyle Shubel and wife Angie of Marshfield, MO, and sons Kenneth and Cline Herren of Springfield, MO. His younger sister Kay Weston of Gainsville, TX and sister, Melody “DeeDee” Martin of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

39 years ago, Robert married into Lynn’s large family and was loved and cherished by Audean Vatter of Marshfield, MO, her brothers Charles Zinger and wife Joanne of Colleyville, TX, Jon Zinger and wife Sherri of Tempe, AZ, Mark Zinger and wife Paula of Leetsdale, PA, and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Keith McDaniel and wife Cheryl Wallace McDaniel, daughter Erin Shubel and grandson Charlie Shubel.

Robert fought in the Vietnam War, and was awarded a purple heart. He came home and worked in banking, starting in the mailroom and ending up as Executive Vice-President. As a bank auditor, and traveled all over the world.  He also worked with the FBI fraud unit, and after retiring from the bank, continued as a consultant for another 12 years.

Robert was the rock of our family! He often claimed that he was so very blessed to have us in his life, but we were truly the ones who were blessed to have him, with his crazy jokes and tricks that kept us in stitches! He will be terribly missed.

In lieu of services, his family will cherish their memories and share their stories of his life.

In lieu of flowers and plants, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., P.O. Box 85, Marshfield, MO, 65706.

Cremation is entrusted to the care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
