Mr. Morse memorial service has been rescheduled for Sat. June 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.

Ted Morse, Marshfield, was born April 28, 1937, to Alpha and Dorothy (Gulley) Morse in Hutton Valley, Missouri. He departed this life April 30, 2025, in Cox South, Springfield, at the age of 88 years.

Ted enjoyed nothing more than being with his family. He grew up on a small farm near Cabool and most of his adult life he had a milk cow for his family’s use. In his later years he and his brother-in-law raised steers for meat sales.

Ted was an avid gardener and always kept his yard looking neat. His hobby was woodworking. His family and friends all have useful wood items he made for them over the years. Ted retired after thirty years at Frisco Burlington Northern Railroad.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary Lou Henry, Karen Johnson; one brother, Jay Morse; and one son-in-law, Charlie Griffin.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Marie (Wood) Morse of the home; three daughters, Dorothy Griffin of Roland  Park, Kansas, Ruthe Morse of Marshfield, Colleen Smith and Randy of Columbia; one son, Samuel Morse and Stacie of Sheldon, Washington; two sisters, Elsie McColgin of Raymondville, Jolene Carson and Gregg of Rolla; four grandchildren, Marion Heck and William, Sarina Durrant and Ally, Elizabeth Wheatley and Justin, Brittany Smith and Per Vandyke; five great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 28, at 2:00 p.m. at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
