ROSE EVELYN HENDERSON, daughter of James Franklin and Elva May (Detherow) Henderson, on September 16, 1939 and passed away on December 11, 2018, at the age of 79.

She grew up in the Black Oak community. She was a Christian.

Rose enjoyed watching old Western movies on TV and listening to Lawrence Welk. She loved growing flowers. She had an unbelievable green thumb. She grew a garden on her front porch. She grew the largest tomatoes and could grow potatoes in a container and the potatoes would push all of the dirt out of the pot and all that would be left would be a large container full of potatoes.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Henderson and his wife Linda, of Marshfield and her sister Shirley Alexander and her husband Jay, of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces and her dog, Bobbie.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers and sisters: Everett Henderson, Jane Marquis, Floyd Henderson, Elvis Henderson, Joe Henderson, Hubert Henderson, Ed Henderson, Linna Price, John Henderson and Dean Henderson.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, with bro. Jimmy Jones, officiating. Interment will follow in the Marshfield Cemetery.
