Martha Marie Rose
Martha Marie Rose, formerly of Marshfield, was born on September 23, 1948, in Marshfield, Missouri to Wilmer William and Carrie Margaret (Wiles) Yoder. She departed this life on February 18, 2026, in her home in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 76.
Martha was united in marriage to Oscar Lee Rose, and to this union their daughter, Tina, was born.
She was a homemaker, and loved writing recipes and cooking.
Martha lived with her sister, Rachel Scott-Young and niece, Mary Johns in Marshfield, Missouri and later lived with her nieces, Rachel Caldwell and Jessica Johns in Springfield, Missouri.
Martha loved music and was a talented musician. She played the accordian, guitar, and piano, all of which she learned to play by ear. Not only did she play instruments, but she also loved singing with her sisters. Her favorite music was gospel.
Martha was a member of Ebenezer Community Church in Marshfield. She was a devoted Christian woman, and she enjoyed writing Christian verses and sayings.
Along with her other hobbies, Martha enjoyed working word search puzzles. She adored animals of all kinds. She liked watching television, especially her favorite show, Deal or No Deal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Carrie Yoder; her husband, Oscar Lee Rose; and her brother, David William Yoder.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Tina Mokshefski and her husband James of Charleston, West Virginia; two sisters, Rachel Mae Scott-Young of Marshfield, and Ruth Naomi Forrest of Springfield; two grandchildren, Cathy Rose Mokshefski and James Jason Mokshefski; and several very special nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Ebenezer Community Church, 423 Long State Highway P, Marshfield, MO 65706. Services will be under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
