William Thomas "Tommy" Tunnell
On February 5, 2026, Tommy Tunnell at 6:35 a.m., left this world of hard work and trouble to walk through Heaven with Jesus.
He was born at home in Webster County to George and Juanita (Hodgin) Tunnell, August 14, 1938. He lived most of his life in Webster County except for four years in the United States Navy.
Tommy and Louella Hyder were married January 2, 1963. God blessed us with 63 years together.
God also blessed us with our children; Lori Greene (Bob), George Tunnell (Becky), David Tunnell (Rebecca), Christy Elder (Jeff), Eli Tunnell and Rachael Smith (John), all surviving.
Tommy worked hard on the farm all his life. We milked cows for awhile then raised angus beef cattle. He baled hay for our neighbors and for awhile hauled lime and spread fertilizer. Tommy was baptized in Bryant Creek by Rev. Jim Ragsdale, April 8, 2010. He was honest and generous and not afraid to speak his mind about things he believed in. Tommy liked to hunt and go fishing. He loved his family.
His parents preceded him in death.
Tommy is survived by his wife, Louella and our kids; also, sisters, Mary Anne Ankrom (Bob) and Nancy Sjothun and their families.
In the last few weeks of his illness, he wanted to walk and was too weak to do so. We believe he is able to walk now.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
Interment will follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
