Eva Mae Burney

Eva Mae Burney, Springfield, was born October 25, 1934, to Jim Henry and Eva Lorine (Morrison) Crawford on the family farm in the prospect community east of Marshfield. She departed this life August 3, 2025, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 90 years.

Eva and her husband Jess owned and operated Burney Ready Mix in Marshfield. She also worked at Quickcrete in Springfield and also worked in Kansas and Alaska. Eva retired at the age of 75 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruby Crawford and her husband George, Shirley Clift and her husband Elvin; and one brother, Rev. James Crawford.

She is survived by her husband, Jesse Burney of the home; one sister-in-law, Diane Crawford of Marshfield; and many other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service will be held in Prospect Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
