Fred C. Rister

Fred Clarence Rister, Marshfield, was born on October 22, 1936, in San Bernardino, CA, to Clarence and Ruby (Bunch) Rister. He departed this life on August 5, 2025, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 88.

Fred was a lifelong welder, farmer and pilot. He had served in the United States Navy. Fred was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Marshfield.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joan in 2023 and his daughter.

Fred is survived by two sons; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; his girlfriend Heidi Green Carpenter; and his good buddy Mark Reed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., with interment following in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
