Sara Sue Butts

Sara Sue (Gourley) Butts, Marshfield, was born April 14, 1952, to Emery and Nordine (Davison) Gourley in Greene County, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at the age of 74 years.

Sara was raised in the Marshfield area and cherished her close relationship with her mother and sisters.  She came to know Jesus and carried that faith throughout her life.

Sara was a homemaker and a hard worker.  She married the love of her life, Donald Wayne Butts, on April 13, 1974.  Together they raised their children and created a happy home.  Sara was kind to people and animals alike.  She was humble and put the needs of others before her own. She had a beautiful spirit, easy smile, and great sense of humor.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and beloved husband.

Sara is survived by her children, step-children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
