Thomas W. Cantrell
Thomas Wayne Cantrell, Billings, was born on April 23, 1936, in Hartville, MO, to Virgil and Hazel (Fullington) Cantrell. He departed this life on June 22, 2025, in his home at the age of 89.
Tom Cantrell was not scared of working hard. He owned and operated Cantrell’s logging for over 60 years. During that time he also owned and operated his own sawmill. Tom retired from logging at the age of 83.
Tom also ran a dairy farm for many years. He and his first wife Jean also ran a dog kennel for several years. After retiring, Tom continued to cut wood for others until his health declined.
In Tom’s downtime he enjoyed a good trip to Branson to see a show or going to music jams. He enjoyed time with his friend Glen and all of Glen’s neighbors and friends.
Tom accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior in April of 2011, he loved his church family very much at The Rock.
He also enjoyed any time his family would get together.
Tom will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Norma Cantrell; his second wife, Mary Cantrell; his brothers, Toney, Marshall, Zed, Emmett, Carlos, Ronnie and Larry Cantrell; his sisters, Frances Payton and Agnes McVay.
Thomas is survived by his son, Johnny and wife Missi Cantrell of Marshfield; his brother Keith and wife Cynthia Cantrell of Hartville; his sister Kathy Day-Trapp and husband Lewis of Seymour; two grandchildren, Garrett Cantrell and Skylar Cantrell of Marshfield; nieces Donna Gilbert and Amanda Wyman; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2025, at The Rock U.P.C. in Cedar Gap, with visitation held in the church before services from 10-11 a.m. Interment will follow in Marshfield Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
