Jan Lea Nunn
Jan Lea Nunn entered the gates of Heaven on Sunday, June 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, who will deeply feel her absence.
Born on September 16, 1950, in Marshfield, Missouri, Jan grew up on her family’s farm in Niangua. Her childhood was filled with the simple joys of farm life — milking cows, attending a one-room schoolhouse, and riding her beloved donkey, Nelly Belle. To her grandchildren, these stories seemed so foreign to the feisty and stylish Nonnie they knew.
Jan attended high school in Marshfield, where she met the love of her life, Les Nunn. They shared 52 years of marriage, raising three daughters and sharing a lifetime of adventures. Jan had a vibrant spirit and believed boredom was simply not an option. She had a gift for finding joy in the everyday and turning even the simplest moments into something special.
She was her daughter’s biggest cheerleader, proudly attending countless sporting events, pageants, political debates, and perhaps watching a few too many newscasts — always in support of their dreams and careers. Through her example, Jan taught her daughters the value of hard work, the importance of kindness and humility, and the courage to stand up for what they believed in.
But above all, she taught them to love Jesus. Even in her final moments, Jan lifted her hands in praise and gently whispered His name.
Jan is survived by her three daughters: Stacy (Jeff) Shore of Camdenton, Stephanie (Travis) Ezard of Camdenton, and Natalie (Frank) Tristan of Springfield; and her nine cherished grandchildren: Dallas, Jackson, Cooper, and Ellie Ezard; Sophie, Bo (Kayla), and Bear Shore; and Hays and Taylor Tristan.
She was welcomed to Heaven by her beloved husband, Les Nunn; her parents, David and Margaret Scott; and a host of treasured loved ones.
Funeral services for Jan Nunn will be Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.
