Della Susanna Gonzalez

Della Susanna “Suella” Gonzalez, 79, of Marshfield, Missouri, was born February 28, 1947, in Hannibal, Missouri, the daughter of Raymond Roy and Esther Lucille (North) Howard.  She departed this life Sunday, September 20, 2026, at the Madison Assisted Living in Kansas City, Missouri.

Suella was a 1965 Marshfield High School graduate later attending Southwest Missouri State University.

On June 6, 1966, she was united in marriage to Pazzis Ruben Gonzalez in Springfield, Missouri, and to this union three children, Gregory, Marsha, and Mark were born.  He preceded her in death on December 12, 2012.

Suella was employed at Bass Pro in Springfield for 37 years.  Following her retirement she became a full-time Pampered Chef Representative.  She was an active member of the Marshfield Church of Christ.  She enjoyed cooking for everyone, was an avid reader, loved to play cards and go shopping. She especially loved spending time with her family.

Suella was also preceded in death by her parents and one great grandson, Jonathan Jeremiah Verhelle.

She is survived by her children Gregory Gonzalez of Denver, Colorado, Marsha (and Nick) Briones of Kansas City, and Mark (and Arlene) Gonzales of Chicago, Illinois; three grandchildren, Derek Ash, Jessica Ash, and Quinn Gonzalez; three siblings, Raymond (and Theresa) Howard of Cincinnati, Ohio, Michael Howard of Conway, Missouri, and Daniel (and Eva) Howard of Marshfield; other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., in the Marshfield Cemetery Pavilion under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
