Sammy Lee Hammock

Sammy Lee Hammock of Marshfield was born November 3, 1954, to Sam and Gail (Mueller) Hammock in Wichita, Kansas. He departed this life Tuesday, March 24, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, surrounded by family at the age of 71 years.

Sammy was a manager at Marshfield Chevrolet for several years. He was a member of Four Rivers Church.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Gail.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Hammock of the home; three children, Shannon Peelor and Jeff of Marshfield, Simon Hammock and Daniel-Jordan Hammock of Tampa, FL, Amanda Crisler and Darrin of Bois D’Arc; his father, Sam Hammock of Nixa; two grandsons, Wyatt Peelor, Gavin Crisler; brothers and sisters, Pam Darnaby and Greg of Springfield, Kim Hammock of Republic, Sandi Thompson and Eric of Battlefield, Tracy Eastman of Aurora, Billy Hammock and Suzette of Crane; his German Shepard, Hazel Marie Hammock; his in-laws, Charles and Candance McDowell of Parkville, MO; and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Four Rivers Church under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with visitation to follow services.
