Robert D. "Bob" Carpenter
Robert Duane “Bob” Carpenter, son of Miles and Janie (Heckendorn) Carpenter, was born June 26, 1944 in Seymour, MO. He passed away at 1:40 a.m. Saturday, March 28, 2026 in his home south of Strafford at the age of 81.
Bob worked as an auctioneer, served on the USDA board in Greene county, and worked in construction. He owned and operated a structural steel company, Design Fabrication, until retiring in 2010. He was a life long farmer, great husband, great brother, great father, and a friend to many. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and going to the casino. Most importantly, he was a grandfather that was very proud of and loved his grandchildren with all his heart.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Richard Carpenter; two sister-in-laws, Linda Carpenter and Marilyn Wilson; a nephew Joe Wilson Jr., and a great-niece, Molly Ervin.
Survivors include his wife Patti; two sons, Joshua Davis and his wife Rinda and Justin Davis and his wife Jennifer, all of Strafford; three grandchildren, Joseph Davis, Wyatt Davis and Pearl Davis; two brothers, Lowell Carpenter and special friend Leann Dudley, Marshfield and Gary Carpenter and his wife Barsha, Marshfield; one sister, Marilyn Mingus and her husband Jack, Seymour; Patti’s siblings, Charlie and Martha Cologna, Marshfield, Joe and Joann Wilson, Gardner, KS and Gary Wilson, Marshfield; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will follow in Marshfield Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time Thursday in the funeral home.
