Marvin Edward Hostetler

Marvin Edward Hostetler, of Buffalo, MO, was born on March 7, 1944 in Eugene, OR, to Elmer Earl and Vinnie Sarah (Baker) Hostetler. He departed this life on January 19, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 81.

Marvin had worked in construction with his brother, Elmer, Jr., for many years. For the last 29 years he had worked in the office at Hostetler Sales.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine siblings.

Marvin is survived by nine siblings, Roy Hostetler, Bob Hostetler, Elmer Hostetler, Bert Hostetler, Margaret Knox (twin sister), Virginia Shrock, Sharon Hostetler, Patty Hostetler and Mary Knox; 106 nieces and nephews; 702 great nieces and nephews; 969 great-great nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great-great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, in the Pleasant View Amish Mennonite Church, with interment following in Pleasant View Cemetery, Buffalo. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 21 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Prairie Grove School.
