Sue Goodin

Karla Sue Goodin, Strafford, was born February 28, 1941, in Elkland, Missouri to Sylvester “Vester” and Beulah (Price) Murphy.  She departed this life peacefully with her family at her side on January 16, 2026, at the age of 84.

On May 5, 1959, she was united in marriage to Paul Edmond Goodin.  He preceded her in death on July 15, 2020, after sixty-one years of marriage.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and four siblings, Wilton Murphy, Kenton Murphy, Jerry Murphy and Dewey Murphy.

Survivors include four children, Mike Goodin (Vickie), David Goodin (Paula), Rhonda Goodin, and Tim Goodin (Heidi), all of Strafford; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four siblings, Louise Clifton, Dean Murphy, Darrel Murphy and Marcella Allen and several other family members and close friends.

Sue was a homemaker, help-mate to her husband and a loving mother and grandmother.  She loved flowers and gardening and enjoyed going to yard sales and bowling in her younger years.  Most of all, spending time with her family brought her joy.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Dishman Cemetery, Strafford, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.  Friends may call after noon on Wednesday at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family and left in care of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
