Ova Lee Letterman

Ova Lee Letterman of Marshfield was born February 15, 1927, to Luther and Anna (Clouse) Hargus in Marshfield, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in her home surrounded by family at the age of 99 years.

Ova was a homemaker, devoting many years of her life to caring for their six children. She was a member of Black Oak Freewill Baptist Church for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Harold “Junior” Letterman; two sons, Larry Letterman, Charles Letterman; two granddaughters, Julie Fairchild, and Tammy Collins.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Cantrell and Ted of Niangua, Saundra Hagler and Russ of Springfield; two sons, Steve Letterman and Susie Stephens of Strafford, Michael Letterman and Becky of Marshfield; sixteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Judy Letterman of Marshfield, Denise Letterman of Marshfield; one nephew, Skip Compton and Terry of Tucson, Arizona.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri.

Visitation will be before services Sunday from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., in the funeral home.

Interment will follow services Sunday in Niangua Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
