Rose Marie O’Dell, Springfield, was born June 4, 1944, to Allen Lee and Amanda Violeta (Murry) Major in Odessa, Missouri. She departed this life April 10, 2024, in Mercy, Springfield at the age of 79 years.
Rose was a very talented artist and painter. She loved spending time with her family, she especially enjoyed the time spent with her grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. She loved to cook and quilt. Rose enjoyed the time she spent traveling all over the United States, especially her time she spent in Hawaii and traveling to Italy.
She is preceded by her parents; her brothers, Aubrey Major, John Allen Major; her sisters, Mary Nash, Barbara Robinson; and son, Loren Ryland.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry O’Dell; children, Misty Potter of Springfield, Charles Ryland of Springfield, Brian O’Dell (Kenna) of Lebanon, Nicole Holly (William) of Springfield; siblings, Leanna Smith (Elmer) of Laverne, CA, Wanda Thomas of Odessa, MO, Roxie Williams of Kansas City; four grandchildren, Adam Potter, Tyler Potter, Kyndal Bockelman, Logan Ryland; five great grandchildren, Bennett Potter, Merritt Bockelman, Murphy Bockelman, Tristen Williams and Seth Williams.
Funeral services will be Sunday, April 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will be in Mt. Rose Memorial Park in Lebanon, Missouri, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
