Zelma Ann Peck

 
 

Zelma Ann Pender Peck, Marshfield, MO, daughter of William Harvey Evermont Pender and Anna Lee Hawk Pender was born on March 17th 1940 in Conway, MO and departed this life April 10th 2024.  At the time of her passing she was 84 years old.

Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband Rex of 51 years who she married November 28th 1958. Her brothers William, Joe, Gayford, James, Thomas, Lonnie, and Johnnie Pender as well as her 3 sisters Mildred Seay, Noama Moore and Betty Shaefer.

Zelma leaves one brother, Jerry Pender and wife Sue, Marshfield.  Her surviving children: Lee Ann McFadin of Springfield, Steve and Lorinda Peck of Springfield, Jeff and Kelly Tokar of Richardson, TX, Billy and Michelle Peck of Wichita, KS, Brian Peck of Springfield and Emily Peck of Marshfield.  Zelma cherished her 13 grandchildren: Kelley Rear, Jesse Rear, Cameron Peck, Tan and Sophia Peck, Tyler and Taylor Tokar, Valerie Peck, Brayden, Maile and Kason Peck.  She is also blessed with 4 great-grandchildren: Grayson Peck, Lyla Tokar, Evelyn and baby Tokar.

Zelma loved working on the farm with Rex and shared his love for the St. Louis Cardinals.  She was a dedicated mother raising her 5 children, never missing the opportunity to support and attend any of their events.  She made the Peck home a welcoming house with an open door to all of their family and friends.  She thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful people she worked with in her home cleaning service.  She took great pride in the high-quality standard of service she provided to all of the homes she cleaned.  Zelma also loved to travel with family and friends. She would never turn down a country music concert (George Strait), the state fair, but the truck pulls were the favorite of her and Pappy Rex.  She would never leave the house without her hot pink lipstick!

Zelma was a woman of loyalty and love to her family.  Her heart always displayed generosity and kindness to anyone she came in contact with. Her husband and family brought her a lifetime of joy and happiness.  She will truly be missed by all who loved her.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be in Good Spring Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.

Visitation will be before services Saturday from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home.
