Randy Gerald Deckard

Randy Gerald Deckard, son of James Elbert Deckard and Sue Fern “Buttram” Williams, was born April 28th, 1961 in Niangua, Missouri. Randy made his journey home on May 4th, 2018 at 10:26am in his home in Marshfield, Missouri, at the age of 57 years old.

Randy married Rita Keaton in 1986. To this union, they had three daughters.  Randy was a loving husband, dad, grandfather and dedicated in all he did. Occupations included self-employment, farming, and trucking. He drove a semi-truck totaling over 25 years and worked at Daniels Trucking Company, Inc. for 10 years.

Randy accepted Jesus as his Savior at First Baptist Church in Seymour, MO on February 10th, 2002. Randy had a big heart, and loved getting together with family as much as he could. Staying in contact with loved ones by phone was a priority for him when he was gone working over the road. One of his favorite things to do was spend time with his grandkids. They were his pride and joy, and they adored him. Randy will be greatly missed.    

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Arlene McGrath, and two angel babies.

Survivors include: wife, Rita Deckard, three daughters, Redenna Lansdown and husband James, of Seymour, Julie Ipock and husband Aaron, of Springfield, and “Little” Randi Deckard of Marshfield; his two granddaughters, Brenna Lansdown (6) and Haven Ipock (4); two sisters, Debbie Young and her husband Jim, Marshfield, Robin Etheridge and her husband Joe, Springfield; two brothers, Wayne Deckard, Springfield, Ricky Deckard and his wife Cheryl, Marshfield, step-mother, Jean Deckard, Marshfield, brother, Michael Deckard, Niangua, sister Linda Buttram, Marshfield, two uncles, Pall Buttram and wife Sue, Marshfield, Bob Deckard, Niangua, one aunt, Hallie Edwards and husband Jerry, Niangua, a host of many relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Randy Deckard will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, MO, with burial following in Liberty Cemetery, Seymour, MO. Visitation will be Sunday, May 6 from 3-4 p.m. in the funeral home.
