Ray Nelson Fowler

 
 

RAY NELSON FOWLER, son of Wirth and Marion (Joiner) Fowler was born in Seneca, Missouri on May 3, 1930 and passed away in Marshfield, MO on February 3, 2024 at the age of 93.

He was united in marriage with Priscilla (George) Herman, who preceded him in death in February 2017.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, a brother Burl Fowler and a sister, Shirley Troy.

Ray served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged.  He was always proud of his time in the service.  Following his military service, Ray attended the University of Missouri at Columbia and received his law degree and practiced law for 50 years.

Upon moving to Marshfield, Ray was very active in the Marshfield United Methodist Church and did work in the jail ministry.  During his free time he loved to work in his garden and being with his family.

Survivors include two nephews: Doug (Rose) Fowler, Bella Vista, Arkansas and Dan (Lora) Fowler, Monett; two step-daughters: Tina (Richard) McNelly, Centerton, AR and Sueann (Wayne) Cottrell, Collins; two step-sons: Joe (Teresa) Herman, Bolivar and John (Joyce) Herman, Marshfield; and one cousin: Rex (Floridina) Fowler, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, February, 8, 2024 in Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, Missouri.  Funeral Services under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., 1131 State Highway A, Marshfield, Missouri 65706.
