Christian Anthony "Chris" Rich

Christian Anthony “Chris” Rich, Springfield, was born October 18, 1989, to Kenneth and Bonnie (McClellan) Rich in Enumclaw, Washington. He departed this life on September 29, 2025, at the age of 35 years.

He was involved in Freeway Ministries, where his faith was renewed and strengthened, where he learned to grow through adversity, and was able to become the best version of himself. He enjoyed mentoring and comforting others. He was enamored with being a Father and Uncle; he cherished spending time with his children as well as his many nieces and nephews. He aspired to become a pilot, his childhood dream, while at Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas, but later changed his career towards Culinary Arts. He had an intense passion for food; he truly loved cooking and grilling; feeding others was his love language. He had an infectious personality and a great sense of humor. He was immediately loved by all who met him; he wore his heart on his sleeve and freely gave his love and acceptance to anyone who needed it. He remained friends with countless individuals to whom he turned for love and support on his continued journey towards healing and his walk with Christ. His family believes that God has brought Chris home, embracing him and setting his soul at peace.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, William Carl Rich.

He is survived by the love of his life and mother of his son, Clarissa Hicks-Rich, his children Aaliyah Ernst and Dominyk Rich, two step children, Kaiden and Dakota Striplin of Niangua; his parents, Ken Rich and Tammy of Lansing, Kansas, Bonnie Russell and John of Marshfield; his siblings, Ashley Norris and Zachary of Springfield, Matthew Fahmie of Seattle, Washington, Kenny Rich and Coreena of Warrensburg, Brittany Boles and Tristan of Marshfield, Emily Rich of Manhattan, Kansas, Meg Rich of Lansing, Kansas; two step sisters, Angel and Lexi Russell of Marshfield; his maternal grandmother, Corrinne McClellan of Marshfield.
