Harry Jay Thomas

Harry Jay (Jackson) Thomas, 77, Marshfield, born April 24, 1948, in Clinton, Indiana. He left this earthly home to join his Heavenly Father on July 16, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was baptized and followed the Southern Baptist faith from an early age.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Lee R. and Fern Thomas; three brothers, Harry Dennis Jackson, Jerry Jackson, and Larry Jackson.

Harry is survived by his wife of 46 years, Marcella (Adams); son, Christopher Jay Thomas and wife Michelle, Marshfield; two daughters, Michelle Keller, Rogersville, Alisha Thomas, Marshfield; one brother, Keith Riley and wife Christine, Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Harry enjoyed living on the farm. He began working for his father’s school bus business. He then worked at Springfield Brake Company and Peterbilt of Springfield until he retired. After he retired, he worked part-time at Marshfield Chevrolet. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed traveling, working on cars in his shop, going fishing, watching NASCAR, football games, and baseball games.  

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Visitation will be before services on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., in the funeral home.

Interment will be in Marshfield Cemetery under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
