Jerry Wayne Ballard

 

 

Jerry Wayne Ballard, Marshfield, was born August 18, 1937, to Lawerance Vernon and Ella May (Swadley) Ballard in Ramsey, Illinois. He departed this life July 21, 2025, in Webco Manor at the age of 87 years.

Jerry was in the Army Reserves. He loved life on the farm; he was a dairy farmer for many years. He was a faithful man, he enjoyed attending church and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Marshfield. Jerry loved to ride horses and showing Missouri Fox Trotters.  He enjoyed traveling across the United States in the RV. He often spoke of his time spent fishing in Canada.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Janice (Schultz) Ballard of the home; three children, Scott and Nita Ballard, Tim and Lori Ballard, Cindy and Brian Templeton; eleven grandchildren, Ryan Ballard, Justin Ballard, Brooke Creson, Rory Ballard, Brittney Null, Tyler Templeton, Brennan Templeton, Shaylee Johnson, Cassandra Ballard-Killian, Henry Ballard, and Steven Ballard; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the I.W. Rader Lutheran Cemetery (on Route CC, Niangua) under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
