Richard William "Red" Van Wyk
Richard William “Red” Van Wyk, son of Richard and Anna (DeJaeger) Van Wyk, was born October 18, 1934, in Chicago, IL. He passed away peacefully at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 6, 2026, in his home east of Marshfield at the age of 91.
Red retired from Vienna Beef Company in Chicago, IL. He was an active member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church. Red was a very talented carpenter; he built furniture and even built his own home. He also enjoyed welding.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Ricky Van Wyk.
Survivors include his wife, Marie (Powell) Van Wyk; three children, Katherine Hoffman, David Van Wyk and Susan Quagliato; one step-daughter, April (Chris) Bayless; six grandchildren, Tiffany (Scott) Ruleman, Patrick (Carmen) Quagliato, Nick Quagliato, David Quagliato, Jacob (Megan) Van Wyk and Jacqueline Van Wyk; one step-grandson, Sage Hyder-Hill; one step-granddaughter, Jordan Bayless; and one great granddaughter, Ryley Ruleman.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday, June 13, 2026, in the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 13, 2026, in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Interment will follow in Marshfield Cemetery.
