Nan S. Wilson

 
 

Nan Sharon Wilson, Marshfield, MO, was born June 10, 1941, in Wills Point, TX to Woodrow and Lynne (Livesay) Collins. She departed this life on December 26, 2023, at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, MO, at age 82.

 

After attending Irving High School, Irving, TX, Nan went on to graduate from College of the Ozarks with a Bachelor of Science in 1976 and received a Master of Education in 1982 from Southwest Missouri State University. She was an elementary school teacher in Elkland, Marshfield, and Seymour.

 

She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, Doug Sartain.

Nan is survived by her husband, Roy Wilson (Marshfield, MO); her children, Chad Schofield and wife Nafisa (Miami, FL), Holly Schofield and partner Kevin Laughlin, (Branson, MO); her brother, Danny Collins (Cantonment, FL); daughter-in- law Theresa Schofield (St. Louis, MO); her step children, Rex and Shirley Wilson (Marshfield, MO), Shena and Dean Ledford (Liberty, MO), Roger Wilson (Marshfield, MO), Doug Andrews and Julie and Charles Crawford, (Marshfield, MO); grandchildren, Andrew, Alex, Tyler, Hannah, Rex Jr, Renae, Roy Dale, Robin, Joshua, Stephanie, Jonathon, Seth and Jessie; 15 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by the 23 babies and 4 teenagers she foster-parented between 1965-1973.

 

Graveside services for Nan Wilson will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the Marshfield Cemetery Pavilion, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
