David Randal Davis

 
 

David Randal Davis was born to Donald and Linda (Young) Davis Sr., on September 14, 1962, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life on March 9, 2026, at the age of 63, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, surrounded by family and friends.

David’s laugh was the most memorable song ever sung. His words of kindness, acceptance, and overwhelming compassion truly inspired those around him. The pillar of his family, David, was always providing love, care, and knowledgeable guidance to anyone in need. His tenacious personality and unwavering determination were a lighthouse in the night for many.

David proudly served in the United States Navy as an AR-E1 serving primarily on the USS JFK in 1980. His reverence for the beauty and vastness of life brought him great peace and comfort when outdoors. He especially loved being in the sunshine, riding, training, and working with horses.

David was also known for his extraordinary gift for landscaping. With his boundless imagination, persistence, and determination, he created botanical haven-like masterpieces that felt magical through his work, he shared just a glimpse into his breathtakingly beautiful mind and soul.

A true inspiration to many, David also volunteered his time giving back to his community, advocating for and working with APO to help guide and educate others.

It is the honor of a lifetime to call David Randal Davis a lover, a son, a brother, a dad, an uncle, or a papa. It is an even greater blessing to be among the many who were proud to call him a friend.

He was preceded in death by his father, Don Davis Sr.; one brother, D.R. Davis; one brother-in-law, Randy Hilton; Former Partner, Troy L. Forester; Stepson, Ryan Lee Bickel; and his grandparents, Wade and Pauline Young, and Hershel and Jennie Davis.

David is survived by his husband, Robert Brown; his mother, Linda Bouldin of Marshfield; two sisters, Julie Barton and husband Mark of Marshfield, and Jenny Hilton of Macomb; one sister-in-law, Mary and DJ Shumate of Ava; one brother-in-law, Tyler Brown of Mountain Grove; two step-daughters, Amanda Gannaway and Rachael Bickel of Springfield; three granddaughters, Madison W. Bickel, Emily Grace Gannaway, and Emma Bickel of Springfield; one grandson, Jacob Carcione; two great-grandchildren, Ryan Bentley and Georgia Lynn; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, Missouri, with visitation to follow.
