Donna Lay

Donna Dee Lay, age 78, of Eucha, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, October 10, 2025, at Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri.  She was born November 24, 1946, in Tehachapi, California, a daughter of Jack Goad and Dorothy (Lirette) Givens.

She was raised in California and later moved to Missouri.  Fifty-four years ago, she married Michael Hampton Lay, Sr.  They made their home in Oklahoma for the last twenty years.  Donna was a homemaker and enjoyed riding horses, painting and crocheting.  Earlier in life, she did drag racing in California.  She was a woman of faith who truly was a light in this world.  She loved to joke around and be the life of the party.

She will be missed by her husband, Michael Lay, Sr.; two grandchildren, Donna Taylor Godden and husband Justin Anthony Barton and Danielle Cherish Lay; a brother, Duane Givens and wife Connie and other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Daniel Lee Lay and Michael Hampton Lay, Jr. and a brother, Butch Givens.

A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Graham Cemetery, Conway, Missouri.
