Michael Harlan Gohl

Michael Harlan Gohl was born on January 23, 1973, in McCook, Nebraska.  He passed away in Centennial, Colorado, on December 3, 2022.  Mike’s life was never easy, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at him.  At 9 months of age, he began having seizures and would later be diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis.  This disease delayed his mental development and caused a life filled with challenges.  Despite a lifetime of hardship and health issues, Mike had the best smile and always took every bit of enjoyment he could from the life he was given.  Without even trying, he impacted the lives of many and helped to show us all the true meaning of love, understanding, and acceptance.  He brought a special energy to wherever he would be, flicking his beloved string and showing his crooked smile.  We are so thankful for the gifts he gave each of us.  He truly made the world a better place.  We will miss him so much but know he has now found peace.   He left behind his mother and father, Pam (Vontz) and Harlan Gohl; his sister, Kim (Gohl) Retchloff and family Barry, Dexten and Tiya; and his brother, Matt Gohl and family Keely, Elise and Hayden.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 8, 2024, in Springfield National Cemetery, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc.
