June Criger

June Criger, 91, of Marshfield, Missouri, was born on July 23, 1934, in Marshfield, to Kail and Josie (Goodnight) Rost. She passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Maranatha Village in Springfield, Missouri.

June enjoyed golfing and bowling. She also loved to cook and made excellent pies! She worked at Wal-Mart for thirty years and would take her pies or sour cream twists for auctions at Wal-Mart. June enjoyed listening to southern gospel music. She loved hosting 4th of July at her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband John Criger; her brothers, Robert “Bob” Rost and wife Shirley, James Lowell Rost, and E.L. Rost and wife Delores; her sister Lois Fraker and husband Don; her son-in-law Dick Cable; her brother-in-law Joe Paul Cleir; and her great nephew Sean Hummer.

June is survived by her daughter, Regetta Cable-Long and her husband Terry of Marshfield; her grandson Shane Criger and wife Tammy of Mattawan, MI; two great-grandsons, Preston Criger and Hayden Criger of Mattawan, MI; her step-grandson Michael Long of IN; her brother Donald Rost and wife Leona of Marshfield; her sister Phoebe Cleir of Marshfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to send a special thank you to St. Croix Hospice and Maranatha Village for their care.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 21, 2025 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow in Welch Cemetery, Northview, Missouri. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2025 in the funeral home.
