Anita Louise Knutson

Anita Louise Knutson of Marshfield was born October 19, 1935, to Jim and Ida (Wolfgram) Willison in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She departed this life July 24, 2025, in Marshfield, MO at the age of 89 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Jimmy Willison and Donald Willison and sister, Shirley Willison.

She is survived by her sons, Edward Dean Rademacher of Marshfield, Ray Allen Rademacher, Oregon City, OR. Grandchildren: Shanna Rademacher, Kyle Rademacher (Elisa), Ponte Verda Beach, FL; Kehli Bradley (James), Portland, OR; Kate Wittmer (Jeremy), Springfield, MO; Cameron Rademacher, Springfield, MO, Great Grandchildren: Charlotte, Elijah, Liam, Ian, Jackson, Jayden and Ensley.

Anita moved to Marshfield in 1997 from Gresham, Oregon, alongside her son and his family. From the moment she arrived, she became a steady and loving presence in the lives of her grandchildren—helping raise them with patience, creativity, and joy.

Family was at the heart of everything Anita did. She filled her home with warmth and laughter, and made even the smallest traditions unforgettable. Each Christmas, she invited her grandchildren to paint new pieces for her cherished Christmas village, turning crafting into a legacy of love and creativity. Her kitchen was always open, her cookie sprinkles were legendary, and she firmly believed sprinkles belonged on everything—from pancakes to mashed potatoes. She recorded VHS tapes of her grandkids’ favorite shows so they could watch them whenever they liked, long before streaming was a thing.

Anita’s love extended beyond family into the pages of books. A passionate reader, she often stayed up all night, unable to tear herself away from a good story. And just like those stories, Anita’s life was full of heart, humor, and unforgettable chapters—punctuated by a laugh that could light up any room.

She will be deeply missed, but the memories she created live on in every painted ornament, every family recipe, and every child who ever felt truly at home in her presence.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield.
