Linda Darlene Masterson

 
 

Linda Darlene Masterson of Niangua, MO, was born on April 14, 1950 in Ozark, MO to Weldon and Clella (Abney) Truitt. She departed this life on April 29, 2026, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, at the age of 76.

She was united in marriage to the love of her life, Butch Masterson, on March 21, 1971. He lovingly gave her the nickname, “Loody.”

Linda had worked on the assembly line at French’s/ Reckitt Benckiser until her retirement.

She loved her family above all else and especially enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Her grandson Dusty had been her caretaker. Linda loved reading, doing word searches, and keeping up with her friends on Facebook.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch Masterson; her parents; two sisters, Carol Cardwell and Dorothy Montgomery; brother-in-law, Danny Brumbaugh; and her brother, Robert Truitt.

Linda is survived by two daughters, Tammie Robinson and husband Brian of Marshfield, and Carrie Hurst and husband Wilkie of Niangua; one son, Wesley Masterson and wife Tanya of Conway; her brother, Tony Roberts and wife Vicky of Marshfield; her sister, Anita Brumbaugh of Marshfield; her sister-in-law, Carolyn Truitt of Olathe, KS; her grandchildren,  Dalton and his wife Amber Hurst, Dusty Hurst, Dakota and his wife Samantha Hurst, Ashley Huddleston and her husband Nathan, Mandy Robison, Mercedes Teegarden and her husband AJ, Kaitlyn Turner and her husband Justin; great-grandchildren, Rhys Hurst, Onyx Hurst, Riley Hurst, Audrey Masterson, Gabriel Brown, Michael Brown, Isaac Huddleston, Reina Huddleston, Gabe Huddleston, Maddox Robison, Everly Robison, Cicely Teegarden, Tuscany Teegarden, Jensen Teegarden, Tripoli Teegarden and Jack Turner; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Linda Masterson will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 4, 2026, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield. Visitation will be before services from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow services in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Rogersville, MO.
