Vola Maxine Moore

 
 

Vola Maxine Moore passed away August 20, 2026, at the age of eighty-seven.  She was born on August 17, 1939, in Concordia, Kansas.

Vola married her high school sweetheart, Elden Moore on October 10, 1958, at her parent’s home in Norwood.  For sixty-six years, their life was built on a foundation of God and family.

She worked at Dayco and retired from Lily Tulip.  She later worked with her husband at Crazy Dave’s Fireworks.

Vola loved reading her Bible and was involved in church ministry for most of her life, serving in Bible School, a Sunday School teacher, and volunteering wherever there was a need.  She enjoyed crossword puzzles, Mexican train dominos and many card games.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bursy and Maxine (Graham) Stofer; two sons, Randy Moore and Elden Ray Moore; a brother, Bursy “Joe” Stofer and a grandson, Joshua Moore.

Vola is survived by her husband, Elden Moore; brothers, Golden Stofer of Macomb, Missouri and Leo Stofer and wife Caroline of Mountain Grove, Missouri; grandsons, Randal Moore, Joe Moore, Jeff Moore, Brian Moore, Cody Moore and Justin Moore; granddaughters, Heather and Jamie; twenty-two great-grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Hope Church of the Nazarene, Marshfield, Missouri.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Saturday at the church.  Graveside services and burial will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mountain Grove, Missouri.
