Dalton Smith Watkins of Marshfield, MO, was born on May 23, 1998 in Houston, MO. He departed this life on July 16, 2026, at the age of 28.

Dalton worked as a machine operator at American Products.

Through the endeavors of Dalton's life he has always found a way to make the most of every situation. Dalton's unwavering dedication to being a good person is unmatched beyond comprehension. Dalton was a pinch of hope, much like a seed of life, he has increased the value of life to anyone who endured his presence.

Dalton was a fun-loving, kind soul. Dalton had a humongous heart and was aways there to help if needed. Dalton was funny, he knew how to make anyone laugh. Dalton loved playing magic with his friends, he spent a lot of time collecting. Dalton loved to fish, it’s guaranteed he's got a constant line. Dalton cherished his friends; you guys were always another family to him. Dalton loved to camp and float, his favorite place was in nature.

Dalton's favorite holiday is Halloween. Dalton loved kids and there was never a kid who didn't love him. Dalton loved to cook, those who got to try his samples were blessed. Dalton loved his family and they loved him endlessly too. Through it all, his sidekick was Luna and that was his best friend, his rock, he loved her more than anything.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Veda Bushong, Ben “Bentley” Bushong, Bennie Lee Wayne Lott, Paulette Voil Welton Lott; his grandpa, Richard Dawson; his aunt, Rosealee (Lee) Voil Killion; and his cousin Stephanie Rowe.

Dalton is survived by his mother and stepfather, Amy and Ronnie Croney; his father and stepmom, Steven and Valerie Watkins; his siblings, Challa Watkins and Robert, Axel Hill, Jacob Watkins, his step brother, Micah Croney and his wife Cheyann, his step sister, Kaziah Croney; his grandparents, Diana Davis and Butch, Faye Jones, James Iott and Diane Fraker; one nephew, Grayson Snyder, two nieces, Lilly Anna Patrick and Dandela Justice; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and his beloved dog, Luna.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Dalton at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Fraker Funeral Home, Inc., Marshfield, with visitation before the service from 11:00-11:30 a.m.
